Months go by and everyday I mean to update my blog but don't have the motivation to do it. Today is a little push to do better.
Races have come and go and PR's have been written down but I'm still not the best runner I can be.
I started the year with the month of January just doing core training. I always read how good it is for you but never tried it out until this year. And boy did it make a difference. When running season started in February I felt my running form had changed for the best. I could feel that I was running straight and could push harder then before. I got very close to beating my 5k PR of 18:43 by doing a race in 18:43 and two weeks late another in 18:45. I feel once the temperatures start to go down I will be able to do a sub 18:30.
Once again I did the North Face Endurance Challenge 50k and it was great. The temperature, compare to last years 93 degrees in the shade, was a dream come true. It was such a nice day and I was feeling so prepared that I beat last years time by over 1 hour and 15 minutes. I love ultra running but feel like I should focus on shorter races for the next few years.
Thats all for now, have a lot more to write but I want to save it for another day. Hopefully not in 6 months.
