Just got the official time from the race this passed Saturday and I actually broke 20 minutes!! Official time of 19:55, of course its not my best time or nothing to brag but after 2 months of not running and my knee not being 100% I'm sooooo happy :):):):)

Christmas in July 5k

This morning I woke up at 6:20 am to prepare myself for the first race in over two months. I didn't have high expectations but if I broke 20 minutes I would be very happy with myself. I was in second place for the whole race with the first place runner finishing 5 minutes ahead of me, 15:04. Less than one hundred feet to go I was passed by one runner and I finished in third place overall with an unofficial time of 20:08.
Not bad for my first race back, it was a great time and I will participate next year.

First Race in 2 Months.

Tomorrow I have my first race since April. Its only a 5k and I hope i can get back to running by breaking 20 minutes. I'll have a race report of it by Sunday.

Zoot Ultra Kalani Review

   Went on a 6 mile run to test my new Zoot training shoes. I know you are supposed to break them in slowly but these shoes are so soft and comfortable that you don't need to. The carbon fiber makes the shoes a lot lighter and softer. Truly I’ve never been so happy with a pair of training shoes in the past 5 years. I recommend these shoes for anybody doing triathlons or +30 miles per week.

New Shoes

Finally after some debating and bad experiences, a stress fracture, I decided to move away from Nike shoes and buy a new pair. I've used Asics shoes in high school and loved them but after reading good reviews I bought a pair of Zoot Ultra Kalani. I should have a review of them by this weekend.

A Little Run With Diego.

            Went on a 2.5 mile run with my roommate Diego. We were taking it slow because of my knee and to get him into shape. The loop is a little hilly and it was hot but an awesome run. I’m still thinking about signing up for the VA Beach half marathon but I shouldn’t push my self for another few weeks.
